Data Retention Policy
We retain the data collected through our Apps (VerityVital, VerityNote) only for as long as necessary to fulfill the clinical remote monitoring purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or as mandated by applicable healthcare laws and regulations.
-
Clinical Monitoring Data: Vital sign data (blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation levels) linked to the medical hardware’s MAC ID is retained securely on our cloud infrastructure to provide continuous tracking for your healthcare provider.
-
Local Data: Any data cached locally on your mobile device (such as paired device IDs) remains on the device until the application is uninstalled or its local storage cache is cleared manually via the device settings.
-
Legal Compliance: In accordance with medical record retention laws and HIPAA regulations, clinical data may be archived for a legally mandated period (typically 5 to 7 years depending on jurisdiction) to maintain precise medical history records for your provider.
Data Deletion and User Rights
You have the right to request the deletion of data captured by the application at any time. Because VerityVital operates on a "Privacy-by-Design" architecture without traditional user accounts (usernames/passwords), data deletion is handled via physical hardware linkage:
-
How to Request Deletion: To request the permanent erasure of data synchronized from your device, you must contact your contracted healthcare provider directly or email our data compliance team at contact@greycells.solutions.
-
Identification for Deletion: Because we do not store your name or email in connection with the app data, you must provide your medical device's hardware MAC ID (accessible via the app's 'Staff Setup' or device settings) so our administrators can locate and purge the matching records from our secure cloud backend.
-
Local Data Erasure: To immediately delete all localized application data and configuration parameters from your mobile hardware, you can simply uninstall the App from your device or navigate to Settings > Apps > VerityVital > Storage > Clear Data on your Android device.
-
Processing Timeline: Once a verified deletion request is received from you or your healthcare provider, matching data packets will be permanently deleted from our active production databases within 30 business days, subject to any regulatory medical record archiving overrides.
Policy Updates
GreyCells Solutions reserves the right to modify or update the privacy statement at any time without notice.
